Save What We Know as the State University of New York
We are down to 2 votes and SUNY could be in the hands of people not even from our state. Just think where we hire our college Presidents from, many not from NY. Even our new Chancellor is from a different state. This is a very sad thing that is happening to our State as far as our education for our children and grandchildren. We need to keep education affordable for our children and grandchildren. We needed to get involved yesterday but if it must be today then yes maybe it's today.

CSEA Seeks Federal Restraining Order Against Paterson Furloughs of State Employees
ALBANY - The New York State Legislature has approved state budget extender legislation which includes mandatory one day per week furloughs for state employees. CSEA has already filed legal action seeking a temporary restraining order with the federal court in Albany. "CSEA has repeatedly said that Governor David Paterson’s plan is misguided and will create chaos and crisis," said CSEA President Danny Donohue. "CSEA will doing everything we can to protect the rights of our members and the services they provide to the people of New York."
